100.000.000 children worldwide do NOT have access to education!

The Millennium Development Goal of the United Nations that all children should have access to Primary Education by 2015 is a distant memory. At the World Education Forum im May 2015 in South Korea in May 2015 education leaders from across the world came together to agree on a joint position for the post-2015 development agenda for education. The resolutions had been expressly stipulated in the extensive Incheon Declaration: Education 2030 – Towards inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning for all”.

Education is the only key for children and young grown-ups to an independent and optimistic future, as well as to a world with less poverty, less disease, less pollution and less conflict.

Already today it is obvious how devastating the consequences are and will be if another young generation learn nothing about history, open-mind, reason and tolerance.

The song Children of the World combines the two core areas of the Ustinov Foundation – Help for children in need (primarily through access to education) and the support of young creative talents (through access to professional training opportunities). Children of the World was sung by Sophie Schwerthöffer, a 15-year-old outstanding opera talent from the German Ustinov Opera School.
